Mississippi Roast

So this is the time of year where I am in love with my crockpot. Not only am I swamped daily but there is nothing better than a slow cooked meal. Since starting keto I love red meat and roasts are the perfect. It was quick and easy and tasted amazing I made mash to go with and some side veggies. It was so good I couldn’t even get an after picture!!!

1 3.5lb Chuck roast

1 stick Non salted butter

6 rinsed pepperoncini

1 pkg dry onion soup mix or alternative ( I make mine homemade)

1 pkg dry ranch

Olive oil

Salt and pepper


  1. Season roast with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan, then brown the roast on all sides.
  2. Once browned place everything in the crockpot. Making sure to rinse your pepperoncini and use non salted butter or it will make dish every salty.
  3. Cook in crockpot low for 6-8 hours
